Thrivent Action Team Cards

USE YOUR THRIVENT BENEFITS TO SOW THE SEEDS OF THE GOSPEL

If you are a Thrivent Financial™ member, you may qualify for benefits you can use to further the spread of the Gospel through the Lutheran Heritage Foundation.

 Direct Thrivent Choice Dollars

Many Thrivent products make you eligible to direct funds – at no cost to you – to the LHF mission. Thrivent Choice is simply a benefit the company gives to its members, where you can direct a donation from Thrivent to the LHF mission.

Seeing whether you qualify for Choice Dollars and sending the funds to the LHF mission is a simple as 1-2-3:

  1. Call Thrivent at 1-800-847-4836.  An automated system will answer your call with a message that ends saying, “Briefly, how can I help you today?”
  2. Say the words, “Choice Dollars.”  The automated system will connect you to a live receptionist, who will ask you a few questions to verify your account information.  The reception will be able to tell you whether you qualify for the Thrivent Choice Dollars program, as well as how many Dollars you can direct to LHF.
  3. Tell the receptionist that you would like to select the Lutheran Heritage Foundation as your charitable organization. That’s all there is to it!

Thrivent Action Team Funds

Another benefit available to Thrivent members is requesting an Action Team gift card. Thrivent awards these $250 gift cards as “seed money” to help fund an activity that benefits the church community – including events that educate your church members about Lutheran missions.

In the past, Thrivent members have:

  • organized a dinner, purchasing the food with the $250 Action Team gift card. Special speakers (including LHF mission speakers) then shared a presentation about an aspect of Lutheran missions, and a freewill offering was taken to adopt an LHF mission project.
  • planned a short-term mission trip and requested a Thrivent Action Team gift card to send to LHF for Lutheran books they can take along. The books, written in the languages of the people they’re ministering to, are left as a gift.
  • conducted a Gospel-outreach event for immigrants who have moved into their communities. They’ve used their Action Team gift card for LHF books, so that they can give the immigrants a gift in their own language.

When using your Thrivent Action Team gift card for books, simply go to the LHF Donation page and enter the gift card information as you would a credit card.
