Small Catechism Martin Luther
Written in 1529 in question-and-answer format, the Small Catechism explores the Six Chief Parts of Christian Doctrine:
- The Ten Commandments
- The Apostles’ Creed
- The Lord’s Prayer
- The Sacrament of Holy Baptism
- Confession
- The Sacrament of the Altar
Also included are daily prayers, a table of duties for Christians in their various callings in life, and a guide for Christians to use as they prepare to receive Holy Communion. Luther intended the catechism to be a prayer book for individuals and families and a powerful tool for the Christian life because it provides a brief, clear summary of God’s Word on the essentials of the Christian faith. Great for new Christians or for people seeking to deepen their understanding of Scripture’s teachings, especially from a Lutheran perspective.

The Book of Concord is the authoritative collection of the Lutheran Church’s statements of faith. It contains documents which Lutheran Christians have used since the sixteenth century to explain, defend, and advance their witness to the truth of God’s Word. The Book of Concord will instruct, inspire, and educate all who use it and help them learn what it means to be, and to remain, a genuinely confessing Lutheran Christian. It includes the three Creeds which originated in the ancient church (the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed), as well as Reformation writings known as the Augsburg Confession, the Apology of the Augsburg Confession, the Smalcald Articles, the Treatise on the Power and Primacy of the Pope, Luther’s Small and Large Catechisms, and the Formula of Concord.

Christian books for preteens and teens
LHF has translated and published several books that share the Good News with kids ages 8-18 in a colorful, engagingly illustrated format – most notedly God’s Word For You and Bible Stories in Pictures. These Bible storybooks tell the history of God’s people, their need for a Savior, and how Jesus Christ came to offer eternal salvation for all.

God's Word for You Dawn Mueller & Diane Grebing
A Bible storybook/graphic novel intended for older children (middle school and teens). It retells seventy stories from the Old and New Testaments. Each chapter includes a brief note about how the episode relates to the overarching story of redemption history.
